En Ka Grants

for 3rd Quarter

Since 2000, the En Ka Society has awarded over $1,000,000 in more than 400 grants. We support projects focused on the needs of students and youth, the elderly, the physically and mentally challenged, and non-profit organizations devoted to providing the Winchester community with enrichment and health and social services. We encourage non-profit groups to apply for grants of up to $5,000. Grant guidelines and applications may be found at Questions may be e-mailed to

Representatives of Wright-Locke Farm receive an En Ka Grant.  The grant is giving financial assistance for the farm’s creation of Grow a Row. This initiative will focus on using a field to produce crops with long shelf lives (root vegetables such as carrots, potatoes…); involving local youth to help plant, weed and harvest the crops; and donate all food grown to local food pantries.

A grant check was awarded for the 2nd annual Winchester Cultural District’s Photoville Fence Exhibit managed by the Griffin Museum to be held June 19.

Members of the Winchester Police Criminal Justice/Explorer Program  receive an En Ka Grant. The program promotes youth involvement in community, safety, service and an interest in law enforcement.

The Brio Integrated Theatre received an En Ka grant to support their internship program for young adults with disabilities. The project goal is to prepare this group for adult life by providing the necessary skills to succeed in the workplace.

En Ka Society is a proud recipient of a Cummings Foundation Sustaining Grant.
