Each person may consign up to 15 items at any one time. Consignments are scheduled in 30-minute appointments. Items must be clean, pressed, in good condition, in season, and in current style. Stained or damaged items will not be accepted. The En Ka Exchange reserves the right to change the price or remove an item from inventory if undetected flaws are discovered after the consignor appointment, and without consignor notification. Intimate apparel, hats, men’s suits, children’s clothes smaller than size youth 12, and items from personal/company events that are imprinted with a logo will not be accepted. Items are priced at take-in according to a pricing list and consignors will be asked to sign a shop contract verifying the consignment. Items will be consigned for a period of 6 weeks (4 weeks at full price & 2 weeks at 25% off). All consignor sales will be reviewed approximately every 6 weeks, and a check for ½ of the selling price(s) (less $1 for postage and handling) will be mailed to the consignor. Consignors will not receive a check until their balance exceeds $10.00. To save on excessive handling fees, payments totaling less than $10.00 after fee will be held until the end of our fiscal year in June. In June, checks will be issued and mailed to any consignors with balances (after fee) totaling greater than $0.50. Balances less than $0.50 (after fee) cannot be carried over into the following year, and will be removed from our records. After consignment period, any unsold items will become the property of the Exchange. Most unsold items will be given to charity.
FALL & WINTER -- consignments made after October 19th will have fewer than 6 weeks of consignment time due to our Winter Break shop closures.
SPRING & SUMMER -- consignments made after April 6th will have fewer than 6 weeks of consignment time due to the shop closure for the En Ka Fair week and summer closure on June 10th, 2017.
Upscale boutique consignment items will be received at the discretion of the chairwomen. Pricing will be determined on an item-by-item basis. All consigned items remaining unsold after 6 weeks automatically become the property of the shop, except for individual items priced at $100 or more. Boutique consignors may take back $100 plus items on the expiration date, providing they have the original contract, and have given a shop chair notification prior to the expiration date.
**All consigned items remain at the sole risk of the consignor. The En Ka Exchange is not liable for loss or damage by theft, fire, negligent handling, vandalism, or any other cause.
DONATIONS MAY BE BROUGHT ANYTIME DURING
REGULAR SHOP HOURS.
